Member Subscription Benefits

To access this section members will be required to pay a modest annual fee. This is to cover admin costs that arise from the interactive nature of this section, where member-subscribers can submit work for appraisal, both by our editorial team, and also by other members, where there will be potential for constructive criticism to be given by member-subscribers to each other.

This section will also provide information on competitions that are being run nationally and internationally for writers and give website or email contact for such events so that details can be downloaded by member-subscribers.

More lengthy How-To Advice articles on specific techniques and topics will be available each month for down-load, together with market leads relating to the topic being outlined each time.

Your Words – This section will provide a ‘published work’ outlet for selected member-subscriber letters, short articles or mini-fiction concepts each month, with a Resources Archive for members work providing a forum for your material over a period of time.

Travellers Tales and Travelogues - can you write Short descriptive pieces for our “Where in the World?” column – describing a favourite place without naming it - in such a way that readers can identify it. Member-subscribers will be invited to email in their answers each month, with the first name out of the hat being awarded a nominal book prize from our growing list of newly published writer members.

Notify details of your own home page or website if you have published material that you wish to offer for sale to other members. Writers-Alive will provide a free link to your page whilst you are a member-subscriber – and you can let us know what business you generate. Some of our links are already in place with member-subscribers, so check out what titles they have available.

Junior Scribes and Newshounds Support Network This section is under the editorship of Stephanie, who will advise our younger members on a range of writing opportunities such as Competitions for writers under the age of 16 years, and we also have a Write In page where letters and emails will be published so that our younger members have the buzz of seeing their ‘work’ in print. If there is a young writer in your house, you subscribe as the member-subscriber, and your young people have the additional benefit of access to this section of the site for FREE
