Welcome to Writers-Alive, the website devised for all new and budding freelance writers.

If you want to write, as a hobby or to develop as a career, then this is the support website for you. There is a regular Newsletter to download free each month, and a newsletter archive in case you have missed any issues, that will keep you up to date with ideas to develop and enhance your writing techniques.

Junior writers are also most welcome to the site and there will be a junior page to support the under-16 budding scribes. Our Junior Page editor Stephanie has lots of practical tips and there will be competitions to help you get into print.

Our Book Marque marketplace has a range of titles available for purchase, some writer support titles at discount prices, and in an e-book downloadable format or hardcopy by post. There is also a publication list of new titles by new writers that can be purchased in either e-book format or as hard copy as published, to add to your bookshelf. Hard copy format purchases can also be autographed by the writer in most cases.

Our “Get yourself into Print” Links section will provide links to other publishing houses who look for work by new writers, and provide an opportunity to look at other writing related websites.

Members Interactive Service

There are also two membership subscriber options for you to develop your writing to professional levels. These sections include:

A Creative Writing distance learning programme, that offers one to one tuition at various levels - a Basic Introduction or specifically focused programmes to meet your writing agenda.

Advice and Guidance section including: Detailed advice features covering a range of writing contexts with “potential markets list” for each category. An email facility for member subscribers to pose questions or ask for advice, a facility to post requests to other member subscribers for help on research projects etc., or when seeking information on specific topics.

Opportunities for member subscribers to post details of their own web sites and information on titles they have for sale. Pages of selected members own work for appraisal each month - an opportunity to get your work into the public arena as a step to getting yourself into print.
